“Nais kong ipahayag ang taos-pusong pasasalamat sa scholarship na ibinigay ninyo sa akin.”
“I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for the scholarship that you [PREDA] have given me.”

– Angelica de la Cruz on her letter of gratitude to PREDA Foundation

The PREDA Foundation proudly announces that Angelica dela Cruz, an Indigenous people scholar of PREDA Foundation, graduated from her college studies.

On July 21, 2025, Angelica, with pride and determination, walked up the stage during her commencement exercise at President Ramon Magsaysay State University (PRMSU) Iba campus. As a grandchild of a chieftain, Angelica has carried the weight of her ancestors’ dreams into the halls of higher education. Her diploma is a testament to the fact that our culture is not a relic of the past capable of mastering the challenges of the modern world. Angelica dela Cruz stands as a beacon for the Aeta community of Sitio Baculi.

She finished her studies in Bachelor of Science in Accounting Information System at President Ramon Magsaysay State University Iba campus. Her grandfather is also a member of PREDA Fairtrade mango farmers.

Angelica dela Cruz is one of many Aeta scholars from the province of Zambales that PREDA Foundation helped through generous donors around the globe. And because of this, we are certain that many more Aeta children will achieve the same goal as her.

Today, the PREDA Foundation’s scholarship initiative for indigenous communities helps more than 20 Aeta college students.

END.
