We are proud to share that 2,550 assorted fruit saplings have been distributed to 309 certified organic mango farmers across Zambales!

As valued partners of PREDA Pro Fair Trade, these farmers received:

  • 1,450 Calamansi saplings
  • 750 Rambutan saplings
  • 350 Lanzones saplings

This initiative aims to help our partner farmers diversify their crops, improve soil biodiversity, and build secondary sources of income alongside organic mango farming. Thank you to our dedicated farmers for continuing to champion Fair Trade and sustainable farming!

Aside from purchasing organic mangoes from the indigenous Aeta communities, through the fair trade project, we are also able to provide them with fruit saplings that they can benefit from—either by selling the harvested fruits or utilizing them for their own consumption.

On average, around 2,000 fruit saplings are distributed to 17 Aeta communities in Zambales as part of the PREDA Foundation’s fair trade project. These saplings are grafted from four (4) to five (5) feet tall to increase the chance of their survival.
