Preda Fairtrade News – The Buhawen Organic Mango Farmers Association of Pili has taken a big step towards a more sustainable future. At a recent community meeting-seminar in Lumibao, 66 enthusiastic participants voted to rename their group to Samahan ng Magmamanggang Organik ng Aeta Mag Indi ng Sitio Lumibao, officially marking their commitment to organic mango farming.
This is a significant development for the association and the Lumibao community. Organic farming practices not only benefit the environment by reducing harmful chemicals and promoting biodiversity, but they also lead to healthier crops and potentially higher profits for farmers.
