MONITORING VISIT TO MINDANAO FARMERS and AWARDING OF EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE
July 13-15, 2016


On July 13-15, 2016, the PREDA ProFairTrade Project Officer-Mr. Donard Angeles and Sebastian Tolzin –a Volunteer from Germany conducted the quarterly Monitoring Visit to Davao mango farmers/growers. Highlights of the visit was the awarding educational Supplies to 92 students coming from 6 groups as follows:

Distribution of School Supply Package: composed of 1 pc bag, 8 notebooks, 2 ballpens & 2 pencils. Each student also received Php 150 for school uniform subsidy.

During the meeting, ProFairTrade Project Officer discussed the Fair Trade Principles while Sebastian Tolzin shared his insights about Preda, Fair Trade and the connection the consumer/buyers especially in Germany.

Monitoring of Mango Deliveries- Upon checking the yellow and green card, a total of 187,876 kilos was delivered by 24 farmers coming from 2 groups (covering the period  February 29-July 16, 2016). Details are the following:
